Pangot is a village in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India. It is situated 15 km from Nainital and is a part of the Kumaon Hills. It is surrounded by a large forest and may take an entire day to visit this location by early morning. It is one of the best places in Pangot to go bird watching. Some of the rare birds found in Pangot are Neelkanth, Khalij Pheasant, Cheer Pheasant, Rose-ringed Parakeet, Forktail, Woodpecker, Flycatcher, Warbler, Buntings, Redstart, and Myna.
